NEW SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER - ARGAN OIL

I bought these in the Poundshop for £1 each; as it contains the amazing "morrocanoil", I have a feeling this will work well with my hair. My hair is in serious need of some extra TLC lately, the winter has definitely taken its toll! I will do a review in a week or so after I've used it a good number of times.

BEAUTY CRUSH #5 KATE MOSS

Picking out a picture for this was so so hard. She is just so beautiful! Being one of the most photogenic women on the planet, Kate Moss is a beacon of inspiration for all us beauty girls looking for an understated, rock-chick look.

Most times, as she is an international style icon, Kate will keep her makeup simple since her outfits are the main focal point of her image. I love seeing her with a smokey eye or, like in the picture, a striking red lip. She has modelled for Rimmel for over 15 years and has now become their brand ambassador who gives her own input into the products and how they are made. Her own range - named "Kate" - is incredibly successful as the quality of the cosmetics is stellar and they are also very reasonably priced. Her matte lipsticks are a favourite of mine.
In this image, Kate has started the look by applying a light-medium coverage foundation all over the face and then gone in with a slightly lighter concealer under the eyes, around the nose and chin. Her razor-sharp cheekbones have been emphasised with a bit of contouring underneath and also under the jawline. An apricot colour powder blush has given the checks some warmth and helped blend the whole look together. As for the eyes, Kate had opted to have very subtle makeup, with a thin layer of liner applied on the waterline and tight line and finally, at the outer third of the top lash line. The liner has been very gently smudged out a bit and a few coast of mascara has been applied to the lashes. The main focus of this look is her lips, which has been created using a bright red lipliner and red lipstick from her own collection.

MINI DRUGSTORE SKINCARE HAUL

The winter weather is taking its toll on my skin at the moment and I've been struggling with a bit of acne around my chin as well as dry, flakey lips. I have a feeling that it's some of my newer high-end skincare purchases which has done this, so I didn't want to spend a fortune trying to correct the problem.

1. Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturiser - I picked this up on offer at Sainsburys for £2.99. I was surprised to see that it contains Salicylic Acid as usually that's found in more expensive lotions. I've already purchased my second tube of this as I've gone through so much of it! It is amazing! Containing some Menthyl, this leaves your face feeling so fresh and a bit tingly which I like. It's not too oily and dries in very quickly, however, I've needed to reapply it during the day but I actually enjoy putting this on. It seems to slowly be working at smoothing out my skin and has taken the redness out of my blemishes. I highly recommend this!

2. Soap & Glory 'Clean on Me' Creamy Clarifying Shower Gel - Costing £5.99, I've purchased this as it's received thousands of positive reviews online. I've literally just used this for this first time tonight and can confirm that it works wonders. I used about 5 pumps of this onto my loofah and it has left my skin extremely soft and the smell is just divine. This is perfect if you like to shower in the morning but don't necessarily like to moisturise your body afterwards (it can feel horrible putting clothes on straight after), it does two jobs in one.

3. Neutrogena Visably Clear Oil-Free Facial Wash - This contains the all-important Salicylic Acid as well, which works as an exfoliator by dissolving the dead skin cells/dirt from the surface of the skin. Again, this works perfectly well as a cleanser and if I've had a lot of makeup on during the day, I may use it twice as a double cleanse. Cheap and cheerful, this costs around £3.99 and is a good all round product.

4. Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm - I heard about this on one of the YouTube Beauty channels and it came highly recommended as it contains SALICYLIC ACID! (I'm clearly obsessed) This works better that any other lip balm and, at this time of the year, your lips deserve the best treatment possible. Due to that wonder ingredient, this will take care of any flakes on the lips and leave your lips moisturised and smooth - I've been using quite a large amount of this at nighttime right before I go to sleep and by morning, my lips feel wonderful.

BEAUTY CRUSH #4 ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELEY

Where do I even begin? This girl is one of the best looking females I have ever seen! She is so so beautiful and obviously looks just as good without a scrap of makeup on. In this picture, however, she is wearing a very  natural, feminine look which is very subtle-sexy. Her hair is perfect in those long, loose waves which are a bit messy but still look sleek. The makeup is flawless; it appears she has used a light-reflecting foundation all over her face and used the same in concealer form mainly in the centre. She has a mid-tone brown eyeshadow running along the crease of the eye, giving it a bit of definition and had some black liquid liner on the outer half of the lid. Only using a bit of mascara, she's made the main focal point of this look those amazing cheekbones, which have been emphasised by clever contouring. The smallest amount of peach blush is visible on her outer cheeks, giving her some warmth and her lips have a natural colour matte lipstick on. A touch of translucent powder has finished off this look giving her an air-brushed finish. Perfect.
